Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish actress and model. Following her small debut role as an archaeologist in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985) She went on to portray the Nazi-sympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. A photographer approached Doody. Doody took up modelling that eventually led to a career in commercial modelling. Doody did not wear glamour, nudity and thongs during her modeling career. When she was dragged into the sights of the casting director of an upcoming James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody made an appearance in John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising new actors for 1986. 38. Doody had just turned 18 years old when she took on the character as a Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody was unspoken as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias when she appeared in his dream, 1987's adaptation of The Secret Garden. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first leading part. It took place in 1988 with Dawn French, John Hurt as well as Jennifer Saunders. She also played alongside Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Then she moved to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody played a role in the 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony in recognition of an award. She starred along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Doody appeared on RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later shelved. She began her first two seasons on the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria tierra de cinema award on the 21st of November, 2018.
