Iliza Shlesinger

 Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born on February 22, 1983 , is an American comedian, actress, television host, executive producer, and screenwriter. She was a finalist on the NBC show Last Comic Standing 2008 and is now the host of the syndicated dating show Excused as well as the TBS show Separation Anxiety.





 Shlesinger hosted Truth and Iliza (Freeform) in 2017 as her own late night talkshow. There are six Netflix comedy specials. The sketch comedy show The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show debuted on Netflix in April 2020.



 Iliza Vie Schlesinger was a daughter of a Jewish family. She was born in the city of New York to an ethnically Jewish family. The family relocated to Dallas when she was young. She attended Addison's private Greenhill School, Texas where she was a student of Spanish and was a part of the school's improvisation club.





 Shlesinger performed on ComedySportz Dallas. She also studied at the University of Kansas her freshman year. She participated in Semester at Sea. She then transferred to Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, where she majored in film and honed her editing and writing skills, and became a member of one of the campus's comedy sketch groups, Jimmy's Traveling All Stars.

 After college, Shlesinger moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy. Shlesinger was a popular member of the Whiteboy Comedy standup comedy group in Los Angeles. This brought her to The Improv in Hollywood.
