Bernadette Peters

 Bernadette (nee Lazzara) Peters is an American actress and singer. Through her long career, she has been featured on television, films and in musical theatre. She also performed solo concerts and recorded. She is a highly-acclaimed Broadway actor. She has been awarded seven Tony Awards nominations (plus an honorary award) and nine Drama Desk Award nominations. Grammy Awards have been won by four of the Broadway casting albums which she has appeared on.



 



 Many believe Peters as the greatest Stephen Sondheim interpreter. She is well-known for performances on Broadway like Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (1884), Song and Dance (1885), Into the Woods with George (1987), The Goodbye Girl (1993), Annie Get Your Gun (1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2010), Follies (2009), and Hello, Dolly (2018).
